HOW WE CAUGHT THE SALESFORCE SURGE (thanks to AI)

📌 Here are the three key takeaways from the strategy:

  • Analyze Real-Time Growth: Don’t rely on old annual reports; use TTM (Trailing Twelve Months) data to verify revenue acceleration and heavy investment in R&D, ensuring the company is growing fundamentally.

  • Time the Entry: Use the Forecaster’s Projection tool to identify “Strong” buy signals while the stock is trading at historical lows, positioning yourself specifically before the earnings release.

  • Secure Profits Early: Adopt a strict money management rule by selling 50% of the position immediately after the post-earnings price jump and moving the stop-loss to breakeven on the remainder.

Capturing the right market movements requires a mix of fundamental analysis and precise timing. Today, I want to show you exactly how we identified the rise in Salesforce (CRM) shares right before their quarterly earnings report.

This is a practical guide on how to use the specific sections of the Forecaster to replicate this strategy.

Step 1: analyze the company health (Raw Data)

Before looking at the chart, you need to know if the company is solid. For Salesforce, we started with the Raw Data section of the terminal.

The most important metric to watch here is the TTM (Trailing Twelve Months). This data is crucial because it shows you how the company is performing in almost real-time, unlike standard annual reports which can be outdated.

What we found on Salesforce:

  • Revenue growth: The company is accelerating. The 5-year revenue growth rate improved from 78% to 89% when comparing 2025 projections to the TTM.

  • Massive investment: Salesforce generates about $6.21 billion in net income. However, they invest nearly $5 billion annually in Research & Development (R&D). This means the company is profitable but is choosing to spend money to dominate the future, specifically in AI.

The takeaway: The fundamentals showed us a “money machine” that is continuing to grow.

Step 2: find the entry timing (Projections)

Once we validated the quality of the company, we needed to find the right time to buy. For this, we used the Projection tool.

The strategy was simple:

  1. Identify the trend: The stock was trading near historical lows.

  2. Check the algorithm: We looked for a 1-month projection that gave a “Strong” buy signal.

  3. Align with events: The projection signal coincided exactly with the days leading up to the earnings release (November 28th).

We also checked the Political section as a curiosity. We noticed that US politicians (like Tony Wied) were buying the stock. While we don’t trade solely based on this, it served as an interesting confirmation.

Step 3: the earnings result

The strategy paid off. When the earnings report was released, Salesforce beat expectations, and the stock jumped nearly 6% in the after-market.

Using the AI terminal in the Forecaster to analyze the news, we saw that the main driver was Artificial Intelligence. Their “Agentforce” AI project saw a massive 330% growth in recurring revenue. The market realized that Salesforce is successfully monetizing AI, confirming our fundamental analysis.

Step 4: how to manage the trade (Money Management)

Predicting the move is only half the battle. You must manage the risk. Here is exactly how we handled this position:

  • Entry: We bought the stock around $233.

  • The pop: After the earnings release, the stock opened around $247.

  • The rule of 50%: We immediately sold 50% of the position. This allowed us to lock in a profit and cover all costs.

  • Risk-free trade: For the remaining 50% of the shares, we moved the Stop Loss to breakeven (the entry price).

Now, the trade is completely risk-free. We are letting the remaining shares run with a target price of $263 (previous highs). If it gets there, great; if not, we exit without losing a penny on the second half.

Conclusion

This operation shows that you don’t need to guess. By combining the Raw Data (to check company health) with the Projection tool (to time the entry), you can approach earnings season with a clear, data-driven plan.
