WE’VE INVESTED IN THE NEXT VISA/MASTERCARD (Amazon and Walmart believe in it!)
In this article:
There’s a company that might outperform Visa and Mastercard in the near future and we’ve just invested in it. Today, we’ll take a full look at this opportunity using Forecaster, our AI-powered financial tool that analyzes companies based on fundamentals, technical sentiment, and seasonality. The company we’re talking about is Fiserv.
Why We Sold Visa
A few weeks ago, we sold our position in Visa. This wasn’t by chance Forecaster’s Market Mood Meter detected a bearish divergence between price and sentiment. Then, a major news story confirmed that drop: Amazon and Walmart announced they were exploring stablecoins, digital currencies tied to the value of the US dollar, as a way to reduce their dependency on traditional payment processors like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
What does this mean? These companies want to reduce commission fees by creating or adopting stablecoins as a payment method. It’s a clear signal that the old model “high-margin credit card networks” could be challenged in the near future.

Enter Fiserv: The Quiet Giant
After this news, we began researching who could benefit from this shift. That’s when we found Fiserv, a $96 billion fintech company that already powers payments and financial technology for giants like JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Amazon, Walmart, and PayPal.
So what does Fiserv actually do? Here’s a simple breakdown:
Payment processing – Helping businesses accept payments.
Banking solutions – Offering software and infrastructure for banks.
Financial technology – Providing the tools that power digital finance.
In short, Fiserv is the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps money flowing for some of the largest companies in the world.

Stablecoin Partnerships Already in Motion
According to the latest earnings transcript (available in Forecaster), Fiserv is already developing its own stablecoin solutions, working in partnership with PayPal and Circle, the company behind USDC, a major digital dollar. This isn’t just talk, these initiatives are active, not theoretical.
They have the clients, the technology, and now they’re jumping into the most disruptive trend in digital payments. If anyone can bring stablecoins into mainstream commerce, it’s the company already handling Amazon and Walmart’s transactions.
A Look at the Fundamentals
Using Forecaster’s fundamental analysis page, we see very promising numbers:
Z-Score: 2.17 – This tells us the company has a low risk of bankruptcy. A Z-score above 2 is considered safe.
Piotroski Score: Rising – Measures financial strength across 9 criteria. A growing score means fundamentals are improving.
Beneish M-Score: Safe – Suggests that Fiserv is not manipulating earnings—a key sign of reliability.
Debt/Equity Ratio: 0.85 – Indicates strong balance sheet control. The company has more assets than debt.
Profit Margin & ROE: Growing – Profit margin shows how much of each dollar is kept as profit. Return on equity (ROE) tells us how effectively management uses investors’ money. Both are improving.
Share Buybacks since 2020 – Suggests management believes the stock is undervalued and is returning value to shareholders.

Valuation: Still Undervalued
Forecaster calculates fair value using three different models:
Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
Peter Lynch Method
Economic Value Added (EVA)
Fiserv is undervalued across all three methods, meaning it’s trading below what it’s worth based on cash flows, growth potential, and capital efficiency.

Market Mood Meter: A New Trend Starting?
Forecaster’s Market Mood Meter combines three sentiment indicators:
Advanced DPO – Detects price cycles and momentum.
Speed – Measures the speed of price changes.
Wyckoff – Based on accumulation/distribution phases.
This meter just crossed the zero line, a sign that a bearish phase has ended and a bullish trend may be starting. This is exactly the type of shift we look for before entering a new position.
During the April–May dip, there was a clear divergence between price and sentiment. Now that the divergence has resolved and the Mood Meter has turned positive, we believe the bottom is in.
In fact, we bought Fiserv stock on July 1st, right after the signal.
Seasonality Is On Our Side
Fiserv isn’t a startup, it has over 30 years of data, and Forecaster’s Seasonality Analysis compares this year’s performance to past years.
The last 10 years show that 70% of the time, this period (July–October) has been bullish, with an average return of +17.8%.
Even in 2021, when the final result was –6%, the stock still gained over 12% before dropping. This tells us seasonal strength is real, and right now is historically a good time to be long Fiserv.

Final Thoughts: Timing + Fundamentals + Vision
Fiserv was just named to the TIME 100 Most Influential Companies of 2025, and for good reason. With its role in the background of global finance, its partnerships with PayPal and Circle, and its stablecoin strategy already in motion, it could become the new Visa, Mastercard, or even something more.
At the same time, fundamentals are strong, the valuation is attractive, sentiment is improving, and seasonality supports a bullish move.
All of this was discovered using Forecaster, which combines financial ratios, earnings analysis, sentiment trends, and historical patterns in one platform. It’s the same tool that helped us sell Visa at the top and now guided us into Fiserv at what looks like the perfect moment.
