How To Use the Rankings Tool on the
Forecaster Terminal

What is the Forecaster’s Ranking Tool ?

Investors are always on the lookout for undervalued stocks and high-potential investment opportunities. The Ranking Tool is a powerful feature that enables users to analyze and rank stocks based on fundamental valuations, price changes, and sectoral insights. This guide walks you through how to leverage this tool effectively to make data-driven investment decisions.

Navigating the Ranking Page

The Ranking Page in the Forecaster Terminal is divided into three sections: Indexes, Sectors, and Industries.

Indexes

The Indexes Page divides the major indexes of the world into six sections: World, North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Oceania. The World section at the top provides an overview of the global stock market’s state of health.

The other five sections include the major indexes present on the corresponding continent.

Rankings

Let’s explore an example!

Opening an index such as the S&P 500, you can see various metrics representing the index. On the right side of your screen, you will find the composition of the index, including its major sectors. On the left, you can view how the companies within the index are priced relative to their actual fair value.

Value

Following this, using the undersection, you will find a list of the companies that make up the index, which you can organize based on your needs. The available parameters include Market Cap, Fair Value %, Z-Score, F-Score, M-Score, and Value Generation.

Ratios

The Forecaster tool also includes a Ratios Page, where investors can examine key financial metrics that impact stock valuation. These ratios help identify stocks with strong financial fundamentals. In this section, you can organize companies based on their Market Cap, Profit Margin, ROE, Debt/Equity, Dividend Yield, Shareholders Yield, or P/E (TTM).

Price change

The final section in this area is the Price Change section, where you can identify companies with the strongest momentum. You can analyze momentum by organizing companies based on their price change over different time periods: the previous day, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years.

Sectors page on the Rankings section

The Ranking Page for Sectors  allows investors to explore specific market segments. This is particularly useful for those looking to invest in market segments of interest.

An Investor running into the sectors page can look up companies relevant to these sectors: Basic Materials, Communication Services, Consumer Cyclical, Consumer Defensive, Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials, Real Estate, Technology or Utilities.

Sectors rankings

Opening one of the above-mentioned sectors gives you access to an index of different sectors. Similar to the Indexes section, you will find a pie chart on the right side of the screen displaying the sector composition by country, while on the left, you will see a metric indicating whether a company is undervalued or overvalued.

Like the Indexes section, you will also find the Value, Ratios, and Price Change subsections, featuring the same metrics.

Industries in the Rankings Section

We created an Industries section for investors looking to focus on specific segments within the broader sectors mentioned in the Sectors section. Below, you will find a breakdown of some of these industry segments.

Once you select the industry you’re looking for, such as Asset Management, you will find a pie chart displaying where these asset managers are located. Additionally, you can filter them by the Top 10, 30, or 50, ranked by size or geographical distribution.

At the time of writing, this category is undervalued by 12% compared to its fair value, as shown on the left side of your screen.

Beneath this, you will find the Value, Ratios, and Price Change sections, as usual.
